The iPhone was released by Singtel on the 22nd Aug. All the lights and sounds and big hoo-ha aside (I still can't get over the fact that the guy who was in line from 3pm to 12am, just to be the first person to get the iPhone in Singapore. Get a life, dude. It's just a phone.), i think that the pricing for the iPhone is just simply absurd. Here are a few pretty good recounts of what happened at the launch. Click here and here.
Since the launch a lot of my friends has been asking me if i am getting the iPhone. To save me the trouble, i might as well just announce it here. Why buy iPhone? I'm saving money to buy Singtel shares and Apple shares instead. = )

iPhone coming to Singapore on 22nd August.
I've got this in my inbox yesterday night.
Yes it's coming, very soon! Though Singtel has yet to announce the cost of the iPhone and its accompanying service plans, this is pretty exciting already! Hoping it is not too demanding on the wallet. My P1i has been acting up lately, so yeah, you get the drift.
Now what's the question again? Oh yes, to buy, or not to buy..
